The SKX series GMT SSK033K1 takes inspiration from a popular archive colour scheme which captured the scene of the blue sky piercing through clouds. The combination of silvery-white dial with deep blue bezel is designed to resemble sunlight spreading its glow throughout the sky whilst its GMT function tracks multiple time zones. First released in the 90s, the SKX Seiko 5 Sports watches were a modernised version of the classics – updating the reliability and durability of the 1960s originals. The 90s collection offered improved practicality – enhanced water resistance, strengthened crystals along with luminous hands and hour markers.
The bi-colour 24-hour bezel is coated in Hardlex, to ensure durability while the GMT hand improves practicality, visibility and legibility. The beads of rice bracelet remains true to the SKX heritage with a five-piece link design that forms a series of small X-shaped patterns. Designed for practical international timekeeping, the GMT hand and high visibility hour markers, along with clear 24-hour bezel, mean multiple time zone calculations can be made at a glance, quickly and easily.
The SSK033 is powered by the Seiko 4R34 automatic with manual winding movement with an approximate power reserve of 41 hours. The 4R34 movement is Automatic with manual winding and features 24 Jewels. This movement has a daily time tolerance of -35 / +45 seconds per day.
The Watch

This sporty model is meticulously crafted to delicately adorn the wrists of men in search of adventure. It is adorned with a round case made of brushed stainless steel and weighing 161 gr . Silver, the latter displays 42.50 mm in diameter and 13.55 mm thick and has a unidirectional and two-tone bezel .
Notched on the edges, it is marked by a 24 - hour scale with Arabic numerals . Defying the classic codes of watchmaking, a crown is protected at 3 o'clock and has the role of manipulating the central indicators and ensuring a good grip thanks to its notched finish. This model is equipped with a flat hardlex glass protecting the dial from shocks and a transparent and screwed case back . Ensuring a water resistance of 10 ATM, the latter offers you an unobstructed view of the workings of the movement.
The Dial
This dial with a refined design brings an elegant touch to this timepiece. It is adorned with a white background on which are arranged different elements ensuring a simple and reliable time reading. At its center, it accommodates three silver hands, including a fine second hand that counts the seconds, a large hand that marks the minutes and a short hand indicating the hours. Together, these run through the geometric hour indexes as well as the minute track traced on the flange.
The latter is accompanied by Arabic numerals in 24-hour format that indicate the hours of the second time zone by the fourth hand in blue. Featuring a pointed triangle , it is coated with a lumibrite treatment that is also found on the other hands and indices for optimal readability when needed. A date window enhanced with a cyclops magnifying glass joins the whole at 3 o'clock for more functionality and at 6 o'clock, the type of movement , the GMT function and the caliber of the model are indicated. Finally, this dial ends with the 5 Sports logo and the brand name below noon as a signature.
The Movement
This watch is equipped with a reliable automatic movement of in-house manufacture . This is the Seiko 4R34 caliber which will accurately animate the various functions. This Japanese mechanism is resistant to vibrations and has 24 jewels which minimize friction. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 Alt/h and offers an accuracy of +45/-35 seconds per day. It promises a power reserve of 41 hours . It is equipped with the stop second device .
