It dates back to the second half of the 19th century, when young Leon Breitling in the Swiss town of St-Imier opened a workshop for the production of movements. Development and progress culminated in the creation of the first IN-HOUSE caliber 01. It has a 3-day power reserve, a high-precision chronograph and a 5-year warranty. Made and assembled by 100% IN-HOUSE in the newly built Breitling Chronometry plant in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The new clockwork immediately pulled the attention of both the professional and the lay public, putting the professional 01 into the top ten world chronographs. The motto “Instruments for professionals” says it all.
